Personal Injury

What to do if you are injured in a car collision

The most important thing you can do following a motor vehicle related injury is to get medical attention. Having a medical record of your injury and treatment will help to protect your right of monetary recovery and, more importantly, it can get you on the road to physical recovery. Along with immediate medical care, you should also:
  • Get contact information from witnesses
  • Request a copy of the police report
  • Get photographic evidence of the collision
  • Keep track of medical costs and expenses related to your injury
  • Avoid making statements or signing any kind of release without legal advice
